A Life of Maybe
Being only a teenager
anything I do now
can forever affect my future.
I've grown up with the insecurities
of not knowing.
Of not knowing if we will have enough
for next months rent or tomorrows meal.
My parents live paycheck to paycheck
always having doubts of what tomorrow will bring.
I refuse to let everything they left behind
be in vain.
I aspire to obtain a college degree
to not live a life of maybe's.
