The Life of Me

How does this world
Bring me such joy and harmony
Whether it be through fact
or fiction we'll see.

Is it for the fire I curl
or the sound of a girl
the likes of which
I will never be.

Do life's simple pleasures
leave my fires in ashes
or let them burn
for the world to see?

I cannot see reason
but i can see rhyme
and that is how
the world is to me.

But when i smell trouble
I move on the double
to cover my eyes
and wait for the monsters to leave.
