Life in my shoes
There is just so many things going on,
so many events that I can't get a grasp on.
This is my life, this is what i go through
And i want you to understand what it feels like to be in my shoes.
I go to school and I can barely express myself.
Sounds like being me is worse than being someone else.
Everything I do is entirely different,
But in order to be accepted, I have to change for the crowd's benefit.
I'm the main reason why they laugh
but not because of a joke, its because they heard of something of my past.
Mainly they laugh at the fact that my stepdad constantly beat my ass
And I spent the first 3 months of freshman year in a cast.
If you feel down, just look at me,
Then you will realize that you don't have it that bad really.
You see the marks on my arm that represent a messed up mind and depression
Combined to trusting and loving a former cheating girlfriend.
My life is a struggle, full of many difficulties
I almost believed that I was a father to a baby.
But it was I lie, because I realized in mind
that being prepared for 3 months isn't enough to open a newborn's eyes.
My life continues to go through another course
As my mom is going through a divorce.
Even though I set them up, which is something I regret
I prayed for rthe day that they finally split.
I just hope it doesn't affect my mom's happiness.
Since my grandmom died, alone time is what we want. We needed this.
As I grow up and mature, I'm starting to realize
that drama is something that I really despise.
So staying away from it is what I need
So I can live my life and start to succeed.
So whoever is reading this, I just want you to know
my life was a struggle that was hard to go through.
But stay true to yourself, and remember this:
the struggles in your life are something you need to exist
