Life Needs Logic
I’m sitting in class
And it hits me.
I live on Logic,
It’s rationality
How I view every prospect
Or is it honesty
How I see every object
In reality
It’s the basis of every project, object, or prospect
Which I approach
I define myself,
I see through reason
My mentality developing
I begin to acquire meanin’
My ideas accumulate, enveloping
The truth, finding my opinion
This is me, my life
As I press on realistically
I am faced with society
When will it all be put basically?
Faced with the flame of anxiety
How do we proceed graciously?
It’s simple
just meet Logic
We can drown in fantasy
Or observe the face of reality
Gloucester could not see
Lone like a Joshua Tree
We can learn from his fallacy
And avoid our own tragedy
My life needs Logic
What’s right? What’s wrong?
Come together and sing this song
Let’s make a difference
We don’t have long
This is how I will survive
I breathe my rationale
What’s the issue?
Our country’s royale
As the planet’s days insue
Capitalism has no morale
I ask, how is this true?
Painful like my root canal
Does a race deserve privilege?
Logic whispers the answer
But it’s rarely heard
The conflict grows like a cancer
Without reason, it won’t be cured
“I have no drugs, don’t shoot sir”
Innocent, still murdered
If we all befriend Logic
We can be prestigious
Our life wouldn’t be meaningless
There’s no need to be litigious
Just don’t be feelingless
I’m perplexed by social struggle
My friend, genuine and kind
Gets his grades religiously
Employing his strong mind
Even though he works rigorously
He is his still confined
By those criticizing maliciously
For his choice to find
Another man with his sexuality
Our life needs Logic
What’s right? What’s wrong?
Come together and sing this song
Let’s make a difference
We don’t have long
Why not be realistic?
Prejudice is only a cloud
The reason we miss the truth
We do not see through the shroud
Futures fate is held by youth
For we are the capable crowd
Our insight is bulletproof
It is not just my life
Which depends on Logic
But the prosperity of all
Think about this topic
Don’t let our issues snowball
Life needs logic.
