Life of a Poor Door Salesman

Wake up when the alarm goes off I groan and mumble and begin to scoff. The future I know seems to only hold endless walking and hearts turned cold I step in the shower to wash away all of the dreams and hopes of yesterday. Get out, get dressed, and get something to eat the little I have is hardly a treat. I get out my scriptures and read and pray that I will have a successful day. Praying and hoping that others will find the need in their hearts and the need in their mind, to get rid of those ants and that annoying bee; or at least help a poor door salesman like me. Because although annoying and pesky we can be their is reason that we go bark up your tree. In my case the moment you say no to me I try and I try and I begin to plea. But when you insist that it's just not for you I just then don't know what to do. The only reason I am out here as you correctly knew, was so that I could get money off of you. But what you may not know or try to understand, is that I won't go to college with that sort of demand. So every time you are mean to me or slam the door in my face; or even when you're nice to me but want nothing to take place, I walk away saddened and look about the place. Why must I stay here? Why must I try? Why must I move on? Why do I want to cry? Why must I be kind? Why must I smile? When all I get back is "I'll call you in a little while." Why must I wake up and do it again? Why should I walk when nothing comes in the end? All of these questions swarm in my head each taking a sting until I am dead. With each passing hour with no avail I find it easier to just give up and fail. So please be kind and help me my friend because I don't know if I will make it in the end. Please show me kindness and except what I give and you will help me to go to college and live.
