Life Is A Ride Above

My life has been a roller coaster, its had its it’s ups and downs. Sometimes I feel like

I’m reaching for the sky but then I hit the ground. I black out and see my surroundings

& I realize who I’m. Then I get up & see my whole life waiting ahead. Growing up my

parents gave me all they had. Even willing to give me their shirts of their own backs.

Woken up by the straddling sounds I heard but all I saw was daddy getting up early for

work. All my parents want for me is to have a better life , a life they know nothing about

hoping one day I’ll able to figure it out.

I have a lot of goals and dreams I want engage in but at the same time I feel my

surroundings closing in on me. No one ever told me life was easy but why do I feel like

it is teasing me? Laughing in my face, I now know the end is near I shed a tear because

I learn from my mistakes the hard way. Seeing the envy in the eyes around me wishing

me the worse yet I smile because they’re part of this curse. A curse that all they do is a

dig a hole deeper and deeper until they can no longer breathe hoping one day they will

be set free. While I lay a rose upon their grave & pray hoping one day they will change.

Tomorrow another day I'm left to face , I pray to the great Lord to save me from this once

beautiful world. I was once lost but now I'm found . Death has missed me so many times that

know it is watching me walk around. One day the angels will set me free so I can join my

people in the sky for all eternity , at last my spirit is free. Now I can finally sing my heart out ,

because life is a game and I have just won the prize.
