Life on the road

Every morning around 4:30 the alarm goes off. I wake up and tell myself it's just another day and another dollar. On the way to work, i stop to get coffee every morning at the 95 diner with a English bacon muffin. We are going down the road looking out on the interstate. Every wooded section we pass along the way I look into the trees and imagine me and my girls hunting for some deer or just maybe spotting some beautiful wildlife. As one day it will soon happen. I may be miles Away but that doesn't mean a thing to me yall are still my life. Noone really knows what its like traveling on the road providing for your kids. You tend to change in so many ways its unreal. You tend to find yourself as well but in the process your making a future for your family back home. On the rd we leave the feelings at the gate but when we get off its a whole different ball game. We go by the store grab some beer and knock em on back. We light up a fire and talk shit to make these days pass until were able to go home again. I don't care how strong you say you are. You will break down after a while and then it'll be okay again. Luckily i have someone i can talk to about it. We always pray for our family's saftey. Sometimes we miss important dates to make that overtime to help in the future. But the moment we go home for a few days to spend with our family the hellos are the best part and the goodbyes are the hardest.
