Life is Rough

Every child wants to grow up in a rush

They can’t wait to have their own personal experiences in life

I changed, from not liking girls, to just thinking about them causing me to blush

But when mistakes were made, I learned that this life can cut you like a knife

Life is a road with plenty of bumps and blockades down its path,

But no bump or blockade is meant to stop you forever

Each road has challenges to face, so doing something odd to beat them doesn’t make you a psychopath.

Coming up with your own way to pass them just makes you clever

To be different from others is to be yourself, to know your strengths and weaknesses is to succeed

The path will seem less difficult when you know your own capabilities

But you must be careful about those who may use you for their greed

One will learn, from experience about these hostilities

Growing up was tough, it opened my eyes

And with my knowledge now, I have more pride, whenever I look up at the skies.
