life in the sand

I'm a drunken poet Running from my past The passion and pain Run deep in my veins Bruises inflict the pain I'm draining my life away But I'm gaining the waves This life is not all great It's bio to see it in such shame There's more to this then The color of rain These marks are stained The nightmare is the main plate Fame was the shame Laughing off my marks life it's a game I'm making it my aim For fortune and tame He made me this way Broken and battered Evil and deadly I'll lash it out in his This mind of mine Is an enemy of minds I can't be left alone It's a horrible life But it's all in my mind Life is a poet's say Spilling there life away All in there hand
