Life in the Shade

Every time that the clock ticks, these thoughts rush into my head. I try to comprehend what they mean, but harder I try the more I loose focus. There is only a little sunlight that shines through the window panes. Disappearing ever so slightly with each passing hour. So just Tell me how could this be? How can we have gone from such great heights, to the depths of the earth? From one end of the spectrum to the next, I could see you so clearly, but now you've become invisible to me. It is truly a shame that this flower wasn't given a chance to fully blossom. It could have been a marvel line no other.
