Life is Short
Life is short.
Memories are made.
Tears are shed,
Eyes crinkle from laughter.
The seemingly iridescent world is black and white.
Never fading, never changing, always in one piece.
Lives are broken
Fists are thrown
Bruises are formed
Blood pours free from open wounds
Never fading, never changing, always in one piece.
Addictions take precedence over families.
Brains are damaged,
Alien substances infused into bodies
Chemically scarred beyond redemption.
Never fading, never changing, always in one piece.
Smiles are fleeting but everlasting.
Warm embraces are waiting,
Smooth lips anticipating.
Hope pulls at the heartstrings.
The cycle is everlasting, continuous, and repetitive.
Life is short.
