Life Sonnet

Why is it in a world so full of knowledge, That not too many people are truly wise? I’m not talking about people who don’t go to college I’m talking of those that are full of lies Things change, people change, generations change This is the world that I live in where nothing is the same I’ve lived here my whole life, but now it seems so strange Life here used to be so beautiful but now it’s just a game Society has closed the door on every open mind It’s captured all the innocence and lost its reason to be kind Living in a war zone battered and confused Wish I didn’t have to stay always feeling bruised Is it my fault that I dated someone whose head was so inflated? Oops, you’ve had a puncture, you’re ego is deflated
