The Life of a Student

Location

One, two, three, four

Red, yellow, blue, and more

Five, six, seven, eight

Raise your hand and sit up straight

These things we learn in elementary

They stay with us more than a century

Addition, subtraction

Throw in a fraction

Multiplication, division

Later on nuclear fission

We continue through middle school

Every subject as a tool

To help us later on in life

And ensure the guys get a wife

We show up in the 9th grade

Although not welcomed by a parade

Now we are in high school

Still trying to follow the golden rule

Each day we give our very best

Once in a while we get some rest

Then we approach our senior year

Preparing for college in full gear

While some enroll in great big classes

Still others make prescripted glasses

At the only job they found

Employed by the great Mr. Mound

As the year goes by we wait

For that very important date

When we will walk right down the aisle

Accompanied by a beautiful smile

Thinking we are prepared for life

We welcome it gladly without any strife
