Life in time

Taught how to grow and always do right

Taught about the world and what we sought

Kept close to home and kept safe

Shown the wonder of each passing day

Waiting for my chance to be my own,

Dreaming of my family and a home.

Waiting to take a stance to be free,

And the test of time to come for me.

Sitting with dreams of bright colored plains,

Keeping my dreams from these flames.

Hoping for the day to come,

where my life in time will unfold from.
