Life Is Too Short

I am not going to say sorry

Life is too short on time,

and too big of a place

to stay where I once was.

I will not stop until

the mountain stands tall without its peak,

an ocean, calm even in storm,

a burning sun, shining brighter than ever at midnight,

What I was is a husk,

what I am is still moving,

what I will be is both the poet and poetry, at the same time.
