Life Transformed

Inhaling Satan’s poison

Consuming Lucifer’s waste

Sipping the Devils toxins

Just throwing my life away

Nothing in this world matters

Just me, myself, and I

Over whelmed by the pain that was caused

My heart so hard I can’t even cry

They say there’s a God who loves me

I just have to call upon his name

But like everyone else He’ll forsake me

And my heart will be filled with pain

I don’t have time for all the emotion

My hearts been battered and bruised enough

I’m just sitting here breathing to death

My life slipping away with each puff

But right when I thought it was over

I was gently brought down to my knees

Consumed with a power like never before

Jesus came and he rescued me

He took all of the sins for my passed

And my present and future too

He looked me deep in my eyes and said

My child I’ll never leave you

You see, all of the things that I’ve been through

Where nothing but a simple test

Now I know when I turn to God

Him alone will give me rest
