Life is Truly Awesome

You sat down to read this poem,

But believe me, you won't find the awesome in here,

You will find it at home,

In the people around you,

Outdoors under a big, blue sky, or under rain clouds, that are just as fine,

Awesome might not always be the first word that comes to mind...

But think about it, awesome means to be full of awe,

In us something awesome instills awe,

The sky many miles above us,

The stars exponentially greater distances,

The sun, the only reason we can exist...

And in this existence, everything else should become awesome,

Because at any moment, anything can change, anything can go away...

So that tree in your front yard, it should instill awe, because who knows when someone decides to cut it down...

That F you just got on a school assignment, that's awesome too, because it will push you to do a better job...

Life is just awesome, that's all there is to it.. So live, love, and work your way through it!
