Life unexpected

Growing up thinking life is nothing but glory,

Glory before realizing life's hidden darkness,

Darkness causing the hurt the pain, the cries,

The cries before the time, where you didn't think anything could wound you,

You trusting anyone brought into your life,

Your life where now you're on the floor questioning why,

Why couldn't you keep it from happening that night,

That night that will change your life,

Life that isn't so glorious until you can find the light and keep growing.
