A Life Unlived
You got kicked off the football team
For getting caught on drugs.
Your baby sister hates you
Because you refuse to give her hugs.
You failed all of your classes
Because you slept your way through school.
You lost the girl you loved
Because you acted like a fool.
You never went to college,
So you picked up people's trash.
It wasn't much a career,
But it gave you extra cash.
Your brother still looks up to you,
Which may not be so good.
He won't amount to much,
Although I think he could.
You wasted your potential
And the ones you loved were hurt.
It's just a shame I have to tell you this
Through six feet of dirt.
