Life as We Know It

In the glistening fog, far off in the unknown Lies life at its peak and endlessly we roam, It’s hard to see the turns and twists, But go on we must Through the thickening mist There are times of clarity, When we can see for miles Only to find there are new sets of trials, It becomes harder and harder to stay in denial Of the difficulties beyond what we know, But towards our triumph we must go The sun will shine on And the darkness never leaves, But what makes it worth the while Is striving towards a dream Hold on fast to thoughts of the glory day, When we can finally say “I have done all I could and I did my best,” And my friend God will take care of the rest.
