Life As We Only Know It

Can't you see what our lives have come to be? Too caught up in the ugliness of you and me. We used to make friends so easily. The colors of the rose and blueness of the sky, We're too blind to see what's really in front of our eyes. Can't we all get along, you and I? It's sad to watch the city crumble, It's scary to watch our people stumble. To be accepted, You need to sell yourself, But we need to remember we do not stand on a shelf. Can't you see what our lives have come to be? Too caught up in the ugliness of you and me? We used to make friends so easily.
