A Life Without Family

Growing up in a close knit family, family means everything.

The get-togethers, the family parties, the time, the love and care

one recieves is all something one can look foward to.

But then you get that one rebellious person in the family.

Sneaking out, not wanting to obey rules, being disrespectful and thinking they know it all.

They start to become more and more as one would call it "a troubled teen".

It gets to the point where the mother is crying everyday, suffering from migraines because of the stress being put on her

The father is always worrying about something bad happening,

Rape, abuse, cut up, lost or even death.

It gets to a point where they have no choice but to do something they really don't want to,

send her somewhere else.

Now she's living in the home of another family member.

No longer in the comfort of her sisters, her mother, her father or her own bed.

She's forced to see her sisters whenever her schedule or their schedule permits.

On the outside she seems okay, but the inside is a different story.

She cries herself to sleep at night realizing what she did and caused.

Cries because she misses her family, needs them, wants them.

The little time that she does get to spend with them is something that she cherishes

and forever holds on to until the next time they have a visit.

She realized that nothing is more important than family.

Family is something she can't live without.
