Life Without Happiness

The sky is gray

The grass, the trees, and the animals are disconnected

The birds chirp in a low harsh growl

Everything I see is all so dull

My classroom has a rancid smell

Nothing in my world is going well

The absence of joy makes me weak

There is nothing here that I wish to seek

My callous nature makes life so pointless.

No love, no friends, no family to be with

Without any blithe I wonder why I live

All alone is this gray harsh world

I count the days that pass by each day

Nothing to look back on that I enjoy

There are no opportunities for me to thrive on

No hope, no desire, just an icy soul

Living on with no goal

An embodiment of life in the absence of happiness.
