Life Of A Woman

I stand on the street, hoping to meet the one

Instead many whistle, stare

I start walking, soon jogging from the embarrassment of being a woman

Being called out for my body

Too thin some yell, juicy and sweet others say

I get into my car, scared I call my mother

I'm told just as I was when I was younger "Boys will be Boys"

I still try to thrive in a society where my gender brings embarassment

Where my brain, no matter the facts I bring up, will always be less than a mans.

My word holds less weight than a mans,

My body more important than what I believe.

Too beautiful for such strong thoughts,

Living in a world where being a Woman brings embarassment.
