the life of a wrighter

sinking through the world

lost in my own head

and wandering through life

a rush of power

as I lift my dreaded fountain pen

and place it on the paper

the tip carving angry lashes across it's surface

I scratch my life's essence out on the paper

all the while

receving the hate of those around me

enduring the pain they inflict

while they say 'all you have to do is live as we say'

but I just continue on my journey

and use the pain they bring to power my pen

this is my life

and I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world
