The Life You Wish To Lead

Love is found scattered

Within the pieces shattered

Picked up by those who mattered

Not the one who put them there

Strength is found in caring

Not about the eye that's glaring

At the part of you you’re sharing

But the one who holds it near

True relationships are mended

Never false, not pretended

They rely on what is lended

And the love that is returned

And in this other being

You find a sort of meaning

From this other person gleaning

What it is to be yourself

It is safety is it is love

It is all of the above

Just a small reflection of

The life you wish to lead
