The Lifeline

Poetry is power

it holds the emotions of the people in them

emotions so deep the words drip off the page

bleeds and stains the canvas of life

It holds words so pure

words so true

words so powerful

that it gives a sense of hope

It creates and destroys

It loves and it hates

It breathes and lives

It blooms in darkness

Shines in the light

Its beautiful like a swaun across crystal water

Let it live

Let poetry live in you
