Life's Perfect Imperfections

My uneven skin tone

representing my youthful years

where the glow of the sun fed me energy

To the purple scars from

maturing into my adolescence years

The smile lines that embrace my lips

engraved from those blissful days

gleaming from withiin my

faded teeth

without filters a vivid story is shown

a camera could only capture

a glimpse of the spirit imprinted

into my ebony skin
