Life's Road

I walk on this lonely road
Jagged and narrow
Stones thrown at me
Crushing me in every way
Heels bleeding; body aching
Dried weary tears
Imprinted on my cheeks
Voice hoarse;
Tired of crying out
When I’m miles away from help
