Lifes Road

Lost in conjured clouds, led astray floating,

Sleep lost to the future obligation to your soul;

Planning enlightenment, danger, and adventure,

Pulled to answer, forced to action by ancestors call;

Survival upon the hip and home upon the shoulder,

Step after step towards uncertain horizons await;

Earthly barriers dismissed, physical stress overcome,

Spirit tempers wanderlust into learned patience;

Along the path, lesson onto lesson conquered,

Furthest point reached unto home, back track not;

Half the road traveled, hastened by lazy thoughts,

Elder and wizen, home in sight, almost done;

Road leads to final destination, embraced eternally.
