Life's Souvenirs

Look and you will see

A body riddled with scars.

Listen, learn

and you will see

a life full of stories.

Right knee, 1st grade, beating the boys in a savage bike race

Index finger, 7th grade, basketball death match

Left foot, 10th grade, bridge jump cannonball

It's not what if''s but rather why not's.

In my journey to live life to the fullest,

my scars are my souvenirs.

They are flaws but yet so flawless.
