Life's Tide

An unseen ghost waves the limbs of a towering green scape

Rocks drown in the sight of the crashing tide

A perpetual motion between a time and place

She speaks to those open to listen

Catching our attention through trials great and wide

We must learn that falling is the only way to glisten

Past wounds will remain and scars will grow

Hold a hand and say a prayer

Save a life, reap what you sow

Live up to my expectations I dare

Dawns of a new day beacon my name I was left here for a purpose, so here I must stay

She knocked on my door, to test me and in she came

Accepted it will be to cry, I will not keep the tears at bay

My favorite minutes are spent with a pen in my hand

I ignore Father Time with a melody in my head

I appreciate free will, but allow The Almighty to decide where I land

One kind word gives me the strength to cease from sinking like lead

Fond memories for dark times I keep

Stagnation, however, is not an option I find new pastures for grazing

This world would be dead if we were not all unique

True sorrow and joy in difference is what makes this life amazing
