A Lifetime To Go

Two teens

Hearts pound

Palms sweat

Excitement comes

Energy levels rise

Innocence is lost…

It begins

The moods phase

Something is missing

Worry sets it

Finally the truth

A little plus sign

Everything changes…

9 months to go

Reality hits

People are told

Disappointment

Fights esculate

Punishments begin

The countdown starts…

8 months to go

Tears drops fall

Walls wrenched down

Hopes gone

Dreams burnt

Ugly looks

As well as ugly scars…

6 months to go

One night

Into a lifetime

Regret is shared

Hated is passed,

From person to person

Judgement rings…

4 months to go

Names come and go

Pinks are obvious

Presents shower

Time becomes important

Smirks and passion

Here to stay…

2 months to go

Air is thick

Smells are strong

Food is better

Love is higher

Statements are made

Humor is back…

It’s time for new life

Pain is outstanding

Tears are shed

Happiness and excitement

Time stops

A cry is let out

All misery is worth it…

For one night

Now proud parents

Radiant smiles

Excitement rises

Love grows

First steps are taken

Milestones to come…

A lifetime to go
