Life’s Path

My mind is like a heavy dew hanging in the air;

Secrets of my future seem to linger everywhere;

My thoughts take a walk through the mysterious moist haze;

I wonder as I wander where it will end, this maze?

Sometimes the fog gets thicker, sometimes it’s much more clear;

Sometimes I feel lost and ask what am I doing here?

It lingers through the meadows, the hills and valleys too;

Into the deep dark woods where birds don’t even coo;

My life’s path is some where, I will see when this fog lifts;

I must keep searching ahead through this mist for the gifts;

The dreary dew will float away, my dreams will become clear; I will see the light again and know why I am here.
