Lift Thyself
Slivers of deep regret
held tightly within its grip
bound by scars of suffering
molded to thy hip
Such punishment endured
deny empathy insane
a crushed state of mind
to eternally remain
A self inflicted complication
blinded by emotions
transparent weighted anchors
gave false pretense a notion
That there is nothing else
just heartache and pain
better off down in a dumps
than to live again
Nothing's further from the truth
time to pick thyself up
grab a rebound
and start fresh without a doubt
Time heals all wounds
just be patient to wait
one must 1st forgive themselves
no one's perfect now these days
