The Light

The power of race As the bird flies my hand opens And the hatred of different colors becomes displaced The revelation takes my breath away and a new chapter begins I see the hatred of the world with these new true eyes of mine What can one man do to conquer the unnecessary violence The hatred and loss of those he loves over takes him Causing him to slip back into the hate that he had cast away He tries to resist but the need for vengeance is too strong He picks up a 44 and loads it with the hate and revenge within himself The inner hate that he has tells him that this was who he was all along His eyes wide open in shock he realizes that he forgot one thing It is one thing to accept but another to forgive The true meaning of life is to forgive and to love Because only then will you be able to reach down Pulling those from the bottom filled with despair to the promise land above
