The Light

I remember how the light in your eyes brightened my day. I remember thinking you wouldn't go away. I remember how it shined through my soul and made me smile. I remember hoping you would stay for a while. I remember eventually knowing the light would be gone. I remember the continuous rolling tears on the day you were gone. I remember everything was dark and I couldn't see, the light I saw was my reflection, Me.
