The Light
The gloom of night,
Penetrated by your tendrils of life,
Bringing forth the dead from their
Comatose state to the awakened world
Of the viable.
Through the ebony skies you
Bring forth your golden rays
Of glorious salvation,
Destroying the gloom in which
Your beauty had been masked
For the hours of slumber.
Materializing from the guise of
endless depression arises
Your warm grasp of hope.
Your luminescence giving me
The strength to go through the
Day with unwaving certainty
That when I once again grow weary
That you will be there again.
