Light

She smells like sunshine

Bittersweet and blindingly bright

Specks of dust that dreamily dance in her light fill my lungs

She feels like a stormy night

Static shocks from her fingertips

and buzzing electricity radiates from her lips

I feel little burns and nips when we kiss

She is a ray of 3pm sun

Warm, calm

the last sign of day

I'm just the shadow she casts

Just a face taking space where her rays can't reach

But when the morning comes they will shift again

And I will be consumed by her light
