Light

I see this light

It shines so bright

It's not a light everyone can see,

It's the kind that hides so deep inside

Not even he can see his light

That's why he keeps me by his side.

It seems like I'm the only one who sees

All that he could be

I see his light all the time

It's in his big brown eyes It's in his playful grin

He's unlike other men

 He's strong but kind

He says "I'm sorry" even if I'm wrong

He's so smart, but he'll never tell you.

He's always there to bail me out

He never gives me doubt about our life

I truly do not deserve to be his wife

Our time together hasn't been all smiles

But he assures me it will only be bad for a little while

. He makes me believe even when he can't so why can't he see all that he can be?

  Is it because of me?

Should I tell him about the light I see?

One day I lost a part of me

              Well us.

Just believe me when I say the pain hits harder than a bus.

What's worse was knowing I had to tell

This amazing man that I failed.

  I couldn't find the words

So I decided to use letters on the phone knowing he's in the other room.

I couldn't bare to see the pain that I was about to put him through.

I finished the message and clicked send

Part of me thought he would break

I mean I was broke before I even began

But by the grace of God he barely bent

I knew as I read the message he sent

He promised me that we would be alright

And once again I saw his light

    Through all my darkness

He was my glimmer of hope I'm not even sure he knows

I don't tell him enough just how much he's helped me grow.

He's shown me that true love is real.

He's shown me that hearts can heal.

Even the most cracked, broken, and scarred

He's shown me that it's okay to cry

But he's also shown me how to dry my eyes and be strong

I truly can't believe that all he tends to see, is the light in me.
