Light

Once the light has been revealed to you

it is inescapable

you open your eyes and there it is

filing into you

but you still blink

and you look away

you even close your eyes

but the image will stay.

You may decide that you want

to hide from what asks

only that you see it

and allow it to guide you.

Never despair, for even the blind

will know the light

by the description of another,

and regardless of whether you even decide

to allow the light inside

it will always touch you,

and you will always know it is there.
