Light

I walked inside the shadows

Hiding my face and who I was

I had no voice

I could not speak

Choking on the breaths I could not breathe

I wandered quickly

Anxiously

I fell deeper into the dark

When suddenly

A lLght embraced me

And pulled up among the stars

My voice regained

A brand new name

Joy captured me even through the pain

I swallowed my pride

Let the walls break inside

Through this Light I’ve been forever changed
