Light

I’ve stared at this paper for a while now,

Not knowing what to write.

How to express all these emotions,

How to express the inner light.

My words may seem dark,

But if you look behind,

You’ll see the things I try to show,

When I speak my mind.

I see beauty in the forest,

And laughter in the trees,

The dancing of the flowers,

Moving with the breeze.

I see the dark, I see the light,

There cannot be just one.

And I hope you understand,

When all my words are done.

The worst thing I can do,

Is not say how I feel,

Because the world is listening,

and that is what is real.
