The Light

Drag your feet

Dry your eyes and smile

This will only hurt for a little while

Lay your dizzy head

On plastic dreams

Monsters are waiting

Bursting at the seams

Nothing can hurt you here

But you can die from fear

Don't let them see your tears

Or they 'll be haunting you for years

Let's go deeper

In the mine of souls

I'll show you the creatures

I proudly own

They work in my favor

Yes, it's true

When you harness their power

There is nothing you can't do

I will be your guide

I will show you how to fight

The spear of reason

Sears the creatures of the night

My weapon is the light

Hey everyone, I'm a very thoughtful and introspective aspiring writer. I've gone through some heavy stuff and writing helps tremendously and I joined powerpoetry to keep me inspired and going and help deal with the demons. I love music, making independent short films and music videos and of course writing.
