Light & Dark
The Sunlight’s walking out again
Not bothering with a backward glance
Leaving only one deprived of its secure warmth
And reassuring light,
But the Sun is cut from it's own rays as well
The Monster is a terror,
Something to get and stay away from
Cutting and sucking away the warmth
And happiness from the light,
Compared cruelly with a dementor
But who is the Sun without a Dark side to shine upon?
Like a hover board and crash bracelets
The bracelets are useless without the board,
As is the Monster and its doing
Without the Light to guide its way,
They both bring each other down
Yet fill each other up
A never-ending circle of one,
The Sun always blinding the Monster into confusion
And the Monster’s confusion eating the Sun’s way,
The Light is slowly fading
Due to the Monster’s arrogance,
An unstable balance has gradually been taking place
What remains of the Sun is dying to leave and recover
The Monster chases it
Wanting to heal them both
The Star however fears what more damage The Dark might do,
The Sun greatly misunderstands the Monster
What does the Monster care if the sky turns green,
If continents sink, If meteors fall,
If all that matters is the Sun’s true smile and happiness
That will cure and clear all
The Light and Dark side-by-side
Connected minds
In perfect unison and peace
Just like we should be
