Light in the Dark

Through the halls,

around the building,

people see me,

as a walking fatty

Their hateful comments,

stabbing my heart,

its only a miracle

that my happiness hasnt been ripped apart,

for among all the darkness

I have my private happiness

She doesnt care about my weight,

she loves me for who I am,

she makes me see the positive,

she helps me see the joy

We are neither perfect

but for us to be happy

the mouths of others cannot hurt us
