The Light of Dark Society
I am from the wildfires that spread as lies,
The people who’s natures are held in disguise.
I am from a dark society of no man’s rise,
For this is a place where everyone dies.
Yet despite the illusions I must endure,
There exists something I want, for sure.
She creates a reality I find secure;
The only true thing I deem a cure.
I am from a world bound by old tradition,
Condemning scandal as its primary mission.
I am from the fear of society’s cognition,
For their knowing is my decomposition.
Oh my lady! My lady! Woman of bloom!
You are like air after the suffocating womb!
Though society divides us with threats of doom,
I will forever imagine being your groom.
So with a heavy heart I bid you adieu,
Nothing is more precious than having met you.
