Light of Darkness
It was dark, but there was a small hope.
I just did not know how to cope.
You were gone.
Your life was done.
You died for our country.
You are my brother and my hero.
Your actions have saved me.
They were the key.
It gave hope and certainty.
God needed you a little more than I did.
Out of the darkness I no longer hid.
You gave me light in the darkness.
I was no longer harnessed
Your sacrifice is my saving grace.
You are my safe place.
