Light at the End of the Tunnel

When I consider how I use my time

I usually make a plan for the day.

At first, it starts off as an easy climb

But soon I find myself lost in the way.

Now I ruminate. Falling endlessly.

Subject to a stalemate. Searching for an escape.

Frozen with frost, I wonder hazily.

Why am I such a mess? I stood agape.

Who would’ve ever thought that time spirals

And that life gets better eventually

Because life’s a never-ending cycle

Of challenges and opportunity.

Alas it is an arduous journey

But once successful, it will be sunny.

As a high-mountain-relief gazelle, what I see in third stanza is a demonstrative that could either be that or that one... or that one... but the poet has chosen that one. Everything else is seen from the mountain, enjoy it!

Everything about this poem for me is perfect except for the third stanza (to me, it should've been "And that life gets better eventually?"). But, anyways, besides that, I also like the comparing of life as a mountain that one makes a plan to climb (if that is what you were intending, I think).
