The light of investment

Confidence lies within pride

yet her price tag is a hoax

his facade is made of the paper mache dignityb he build in his solitude

their state of content is merely smoke and mirrors

she shapes her social withdrawal like clay hands sticky with anxiety

touching other his hands are destitute of any trace of loneliness

this is his self-worth

this is her top dollar

his emotions hang low on his sleeve

and she notice his light

the light that burns within him

he understands her mask that’s perfectly polished for the occasion

A small light rocketed their confidence
